Shana Feste directed American romantic drama movie Endless Love. The movie stars an ensemble cast headed by Gabriella Wilde and Alex Pettyfer. By the Universal Pictures the movie was released on 14 February, 2014 in the USA and UK and the movie was also release in Australia on 13 February, 2014. The plot summary of the movie is that the Endless Love is not so much remake as Franco Zeffirelli movie of the 1981, as it is an extended ad for the idyllic Fitch lifestyle & Abercrombie. This is supposed to be a movie about the throes of teenage maiden love, a love you would go to jail for set a house on fire for a love that needs a restraining order but it is awfully tasteful and emotionally detached in its bliss out depiction of beautiful young man cavorting in the sunlight. Tanned David, Jade frolic & Toned in a meadow, leap off a dock in slow motion and splash in a lake all to the blare of alto rock music to signal to us how we should react to these picture. They make romantic love on the carpet by the fireplace light. Even their vaguely grungy moments kissing in the back of a beat up pick up truck. Director and co-writer Shana Feste has remade Endless Love in short but she is taken out all the crazy. Not that the original was all that great to begin with a 6 time Razzie Award nominee it was screechy melodramatic and over acted with an awkwardly flat lead performance from Brooke Shields. But at least it had passion. Pettyfer and Wilde look lovely together although they are both in their mid 20s playing 17 years old and it shows they do enjoy some real chemistry throughout their flirtatious falling in love stage but the sense that something vital is at stake is woefully lacking.
