American comedy drama movie Wish I Was Here directed by Zach Braff and co-written with Adam J. Braff. The Wish I Was Here stars Zach Braff, Kate Hudson, Jim Parsons, Ashley Greene, Joey King and James Avery in his last movie role. In 2013 On 24 April, director Zach Braff launched the Kickstarter campaign for his new upcoming comedy movie Wish I Was Here to make 2 million dollar to boost his project, based on his own script co-written with his brother Adam J. Braff. Cinematographer Larry Sher was set as a director of photography and producers Michael Shamberg and Stacey Sher were set to produce the film project. The campaign raised 2 million dollar in 3 days later the project was pronounced, in 15 May Worldview Entertainment stepped in to gap finance the film project and the Kickstarter project has raised over 2.6 million dollar. In May 24 the campaign ended by Braff with an amount of 3,105,473 dollar funded from 46,520 people. The movie had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January 2014, 10 years later the premiere of the film Garden State. Focus Features bought the distribution rights for 2.75 million dollar. Since Wish I Was Here movie opening on 18 January, 2014 at Sundance Film Festival it was announced that the comedy will open this summer on 18 July, 2014 Exclusive in NY and LA. Wish I Was Here will then details its reach on 25 July and again on 1st August.
