Boyhood is an American drama movie written and directed by Richard Linklater and starring Patricia Arquette, Ellar Coltrane and Ethan Hawke. The movie was shot intermittently over a 12 year period. Movie began in the summer of 2002 in Houston, Texas and completed in October 2013. The movie premiered at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival, with a theatrical release set for later in 2014. The movie also competed in the final section of the 64th Berlin International Film Festival, where Linklater won the Silver Bear for Best Director. The main freature of this movie is that the Boyhood movie tells a story of a divorced couple trying to raise their young son. The story like the boy for 12 years from first grade at age 6 through 12 grade at age 17-18 and examines his relationship with his parents as he grows.
